About Acacia Core Consulting
Independent advisory practice focused on cash timing and stability for Australian SMEs.
Official business details
Registered business name: Acacia Core Consulting Pty Ltd
Established: 2012
Acacia Core Consulting began in Brisbane when founder adviser Margaret Chen left a regional bank SME desk to work directly with owners who needed clearer cash pictures without product sales attached to the conversation. The practice grew through referrals from accountants and industry associations across South East Queensland.
Today we remain a focused advisory office — not a software vendor, not a lender, and not a generic management consultancy. Our work sits at the intersection of day-to-day cash decisions and the stability questions that keep a business operating through uneven months.
What we do
We help owners and finance leads see when money will arrive, when it must leave, and what reserve is reasonable before committing to hire, stock, or equipment. Engagements are hands-on: statements on the table, calendars on the screen, and plain-language summaries your team can act on.
Our advisers
Senior advisers bring backgrounds in SME finance leadership, credit assessment, and operational roles in trade and hospitality. Each client engagement is led by the same adviser from scoping through delivery — no hand-off to junior staff for the core sessions.
Working approach
- Grounded in your books — we start from bank reality, not slide decks.
- Alongside your accountant — we complement lodgement and compliance work with timing and stability focus.
- Confidential — client financial detail stays within the engagement team.
- Plain language — outputs are meant for owners and ops managers, not only CFOs.
Community and place
We work from Office 8, 67 Test Street, Brisbane QLD 00000, and serve clients across Queensland and other Australian states by video. Many of our long-term clients are in construction trades, food service, wholesale, and health services.
Values
Steadiness over hype. Clarity over complexity. Recommendations you can explain to your staff on a Monday morning.
